Anthony Klok
Anthony Klok was the Director of Business Development and Investor Relations at Crown Ltd. He served as the Chief Executive of Betfair Pty Ltd from June 2007 to October 2008.
Prior to joining Betfair Anthony was the Business Development Director at Publishing & Broadcasting Limited where his responsibilities ranged from analysing and structuring new investments to reviewing and providing management input on a range of PBL's existing investments. In that role Anthony was a director or alternate director of Seek Limited, Ticketek Limited, ninemsn Limited, Premier Media Group Pty Limited (Fox Sports), Sydney SuperDome Pty Ltd, Betfair Limited, carsales.com.au Limited and other investee companies within the PBL Group.
Greg Nichols
Greg Nichols was appointed Managing Director of Sporting Affairs for Betfair Group Limited in 2006 having spent over 20 years in thoroughbred horseracing, most recently as Chief Executive of the British Horseracing Board. In September 2003, he was the first executive appointment to its Board. In his current role and as a former General Manager for Racing Victoria Limited, Chief Executive of the South Australian Thoroughbred Racing Authority and inaugural Board member of the Australian Racing Board Greg has had an extensive career in international racing and wagering.
Rowen Craigie
Rowen Craigie is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Crown, overseeing all of Crown's Australian and international gaming operations. He is also a director of Crown Melbourne Limited, Burswood Limited, Melco Crown Entertainment (Macau) Limited and Aspinalls Holdings (Jersey) Limited.
He previously served from 2002 to 2007 as the CEO of Crown Melbourne Limited. Mr Craigie joined Crown Melbourne Limited in 1993 and was appointed as the Executive General Manager of its Gaming Machines department in 1996, and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Prior to joining Crown Melbourne Limited, Mr Craigie was the Group General Manager for Gaming at the TAB in Victoria from 1990 to 1993, and held senior economic policy positions in Treasury and the Department of Industry in Victoria from 1984 to 1990.
Giles Thompson
Giles Thompson joined Betfair Australia in June 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. In April 2009, Giles also assumed responsibility for the Betfair Product Strategy and with a remit to ensure the product offered resonates with the Australian punter.
Giles took on the role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2012.
Prior to joining Betfair, Giles spent seven years working in the media industry with the Financial Times and FT.com in London, New York and Hong Kong and APN News and Media in Brisbane.
Giles has an MA from Cambridge University having read Economics and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW and ICAA). He has been living in Melbourne for six years, a great city to satisfy his passion for sport.
